Exercising & Acne - September 8th, 2009

Exercise is another way to prevent pimples. Exercise makes the skin look fresh and vibrant. Exercise increases blood flow to skin which produces a rosy glow. This increased blood flow to the skin also helps to prevent pimples. Oxygen is also increased and thus your skin cells benefits from the extra oxygen. Exercises also releases the hormone endorphin which puts you in a good mood and helps you to feel calm. Stress is very hard on the skin. Stress will cause breakouts. Hence, exercise makes you calm and keeps you relax. Stress is alleviated when you are calm. Exercise also makes you sweat of course. Sweating removes toxins from the skin which helps to prevent pimples. Exercise is wonderful for your skin.

However, as with everything there is a con. There are certain precautions you need to take during and after exercising. First of all, do not wear make-up while working out. Do not touch your face while working out because you do not want to spread germs from the exercise machines to your face. You should also wear your hair up and out of your face. You do not want the residue from your hair to run down on your skin. Lastly, you should wash your face (or any body part affected by acne) immediately after working out to remove the sweat, etc from your skin.
